Watch: Rihanna – What Now official video

One of my favourite tracks off Rihanna‘s Unapologetic album is this one. It’s called What Now and the video is officially here. I got to see her perform this one live in concert last month, when she was here as part of her Diamonds World Tour. The way the crowd sang it with and then back to her was just too awesome. Rihanna is too gorgeous for words, love the video.

Gallery: Rihanna brings the Diamonds World Tour to Jozi

The diamond was shining bright last night… Pop princess kicked off her first headline tour to South Africa on Sunday evening. The Pour It Up singer brought her Diamonds World Tour to over 60 000 fans at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

Yes, the traffic was a ball ache, and many complained about her not changing her outfit and about the sound, but I digged it. There is something very awesome about Rihanna and I’m stoked I got to see her. The way the crowd sang her songs back to her was great too! My best moment? The Take A Bow, Love the Way you lie and Cold Case Love melody… Damn, I loved that. She then went into We Found Love after that and you can just imagine how the crowd erupted. I have a little clip of that, but I’ll share that later. For now though, check out some of my pictures from the Diamonds World Tour – the Jozi edition :)

If you have any parking suggestions or ways to ease the congestion issues, leave a comment and I will gladly pass it on to the right people.

Rihanna arrives in South Africa – Pictures and video

Pop princess, Rihanna jetted into Johannesburg, South Africa on Saturday the 12th of October. The star flew in from Sydney, Australia. She’ll be performing two concerts in South Africa, as part of her Diamonds World Tour.

Check out some of the pictures above and below you’ll see a short clip of her arrival.

Concert pictures to follow on Monday.

Rihanna in SA: 3 days to go… SOS

The lovely Rihanna will be in South Africa very soon. There’s a massive frenzy happening in the media space, with everyone trying to figure out when she arrives. I have my thoughts and suspicions as to when that will be, but I’ll keep that to myself for now. So anyway, I’m continuing with my little feature that is checking out her biggest songs in the build up to the Diamonds World Tour officially shining its light in SA.

This track holds a lot of fond memories for me. It’s called SOS. The song hit the top of the charts and stayed on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for three weeks. It spent a lot of time in the top ten for numerous weeks! It’s a banger and I’d love to see her perform it live!!

The countdown to Rihanna’s Diamonds World Tour is on

It’s October and with the new month comes the tour many people have been waiting for… The Diamonds World Tour presented by the gorgeous superstar that is Rihanna. The star kicks off her first headline tour to South Africa on the 13th of October in Johannesburg and this is followed by a gig in Cape Town on the 16th. So in celebration of one of the most anticipated tours this year, I’m counting down with some of Rihanna’s biggest hits to date.

Lets take a look at the Barbados born beauty’s first hit single called Pon de Replay:

Can you believe this song was released way back in 2005… May 24th to be specific. It was taken off her first album, Music of the Sun which featured other hit singles like If It’s Loving That You Want too. The album saw her debut in the top ten, and its first single peaked at number 2 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. It set the path for what is arguably one of the most successful musical stories to date… Let the countdown begin :)

Rihanna performs new single, Stay on SNL

Rihanna performed her new single, Stay on SNL recently. It’s taken off her number one album, Unapologetic. The album has really grown on me and I find myself choosing this one over Ne-Yo, Taylor and Alicia if I’m honest. I’m surprised that this was the second single off the album, but it really shows a different side to the star and I’m liking it. Plus, for all the haters who believe she can’t sing, the video above proves otherwise.

Rumours are doing the rounds that Rihanna is the next star who will be gracing South African shores this year. Let’s hope so. It will be her first tour as a headliner, so I look forward to hearing more from the promoters.

[Video] Rihanna – Diamonds

Finally, #Diamonds is out! Rihanna’s brand new video for the smash hit, Diamonds is out. It’s taken off her forthcoming album, Unapologetic, which is out in the next two weeks. Beautiful video. Love the song. Happiness on this Friday evening ;)

Rihanna’s new album, Unapologetic drops November 19th

Another year… another album. World superstar, Rihanna will release her new album, Unapologetic on the 19th of November. This will be her seventh studio. She certainly knows how to make hay while the sun shines. The first single off the album is called Diamonds. It debuted on Billboard’s Hot 100 at number sixteen, which isn’t great for the star, but the song is slowly but surely gaining momentum, airplay at traction in the market, so watch out for it. If you haven’t heard the song yet, have a listen below:

Is the album shamelessly an admission of her reuniting with Chris Brown? Well while the couple/ she is keeping mum about the ‘romance’, we’ll be sure to hear all about it on the 19th of November ;)
