Besides quite a public divorce, singer Avril Lavigne has been pretty quiet. That’s all about to change though, as the star prepares to release her new album Goodbye Lullaby. The album has been in the making for over two years now and will drop on the 8th of March next year. Avril is expected to release the first single “What the Hell” on New Year’s Eve during “Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve.”
On the album, the Sk8ter Boi singer has worked with longtime collaborators Deryck Whibley, Evan Taubenfeld and Butch Walker and the ever so popular songwriter/producer Max Martin (Pink, Katy Perry, Britney Spears) too. Looking forward to hearing the first single and the full-length album too. In the mean time, here’s a track off Rihanna’s new album, which features a sample from Avril’s “I’m With You”. Apparently Rihanna was desperate to work with Lavigne on her new album, Loud, but settled for the sample instead. Who knows, maybe we can expect to hear a banger from the two ladies when Avril’s album drops in March. Rihanna is of course the queen of collaborations… Listen to the track below, I dig it!
