Linkin Park to tour SA this November

Look who’s coming to South Africa… It has been a long time coming, but finally rockers Linkin Park will grace us with their presence. The band will be heading down to South Africa this November to perform two stadium concerts. They’ll be rocking out on the 7th of November in the Mother City, followed by a performance in the Jozi on the 10th. Just looking at the ticket prices, which you will see below, they’re really reasonably priced and that is always a good thing.

There has been a lot of speculation about them, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and the Foo Fighters. So far the speculation is right, in negotiations and not sure in that order. One thing’s for sure though, if the end of this year/ beginning of next year is anything to go by, best you start saving you cash because it’s going to be all kinds of awesome!

Big Concerts announce that American rock band Linkin Park will perform two stadium shows live for the first time ever in South Africa on 7th November at Cape Town Stadium and 10th November at the Soccer City Complex, FNB Stadium, Johannesburg.  The tour is presented by Lucozade,  5FM and M-Net.

Tickets go on public sale for the Johannesburg performance on Thursday 26th July and then for Cape Town on Friday 27th July from Computicket.

Tickets will be available exclusively to Linkin Park Underground fan club members July 24 and 25 for Johannesburg and July 24 through 26 for Cape Town, before they go on sale to the public. LPU members receive first access to some of the best seats available, early entry to the venue and chances for meet and greets with Linkin Park. To join the LPU, visit http://lpunderground.com/.

Linkin Park shot to international fame with their debut album, ‘Hybrid Theory’ in 2000. Over the course of their career, the band sold over 50 million albums worldwide, with platinum album sales in 34 countries and 5 continents. Linkin Park is known for a long list of chart topping hits including ‘Crawling,” ‘Breaking The Habit,’ ‘Numb’ What I’ve Done,” ‘New Divide,” and “Waiting For the End.” From surreal videography to an unforgettable, iconic stage show, Linkin Park have always boasted a visual presence that befits the power of the music.

Linkin Park have just released their fifth studio album, ‘LIVING THINGS’ on 25th June, 2012. The album was co-produced by Rick Rubin (Adele, Metallica) and Linkin Park vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Mike Shinoda, who joined forces on Linkin Park’s two previous albums. Rolling Stone magazine says ‘The material is the bands most powerful since its megahit 2000 debut’.

From day one, Linkin Park built the band on fusing all of their favourite styles of music into one signature sound. Fast forward 12 years to ‘LIVING THINGS’ and the same six players have not only developed new tools to make that philosophy a reality, but they’re finally comfortable embracing – and coalescing – every aspect of their career.
