One of the slowest launches ever known to man kind, but it has finally happened. iTunes has officially arrived in South Africa. This is a good day for music lovers and a great day for local musicians. Other music stores have tried but failed dismally, but with the the Apple name behind it and the success that is the American music store, iTunes SA is bound to do well. Plus the music is very well priced.
Idols winner, Khaya Mthethwa’s debut album, For You is retailing at R89.00. If you’re not into the whole album, you can purchase a single, or four at just R8.99. Very, very affordable. Their music catalogue isn’t limited to just local artists. You can grab Rihanna‘s new album, Unapologetic, Pink’s The Truth About Love and more too.
At this stage you can only download music, but you know what we’re like. As soon as we get something, we’ll want more. So I have no doubt in my mind that they’re looking at getting all the latest series, movies and more. Stay tuned for that.
