And let’s go… The best way to get music’s biggest night going in my opinion is to welcome Mrs Carter aka Beyonce Knowles to the stage. The star, who recently dropped her number one album, BEYONCE, took to the stage
Anna Kendrick and Pharrell Williams are up to present New Artist. The award goes to Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
“Wow, we’re here on this stage right now. First and foremost I want to thank our fans, the people who got us on this stage. Without them there would be no us.”
– Lorde takes to the stage to sing her smash hit, Royals. It’s a bit of a boring song to sing at the Grammys in my opinion.
– Hunter Hayes said he was nervous to perform his new track, Invisible tonight, but he did a great job at it. Sidebar, he looks like Jesse McCartney’s younger brother.
– Juanez and Anna Faris up to present Best Pop Duo/ Group Performance. The award goes to Daft Punk and Pharrell Williams “Dude. On behalf of the robots, just like to say first of all. Man, thank you, thank you, thank. This category has a lot of great nominees. We’re honored. Of course they want to thank their families.”
– Katy Perry and Juicy J are up to perform their song Dark Horse. If I were Katy’s red carpet hairstylist, I’d be bleak. The amount of effort that went into putting that look together must’ve taken forever, only to let it all down for this performance. This performance is a little flat 😦
– The first collaboration of the night belongs to Chicago and Robin Thicke. A medley of classic tracks with the soulful Robin Thicke. Nice one… Obviously Blurred Lines featured in this medley too.
– A little bit of country music now. It’s time for Keith Urban and Gary Clark Jr.
– Recently married, John Legend is on stage now performing All of Me. This man has one of the best voices in the business. They cut to his wife during the performance. How cute… Clever director.
– Uncle Charlie and Kevin Hart present the award for Best Rock Song to Dave Grohl, Paul McCartney, Krist Novoselic & Pat Smear for the song, Cut Me Some Slack.
