Andile Ncube set to host The X Factor South Africa

By now you’ll know that the hit show X Factor is coming to South Africa. The auditions kick off this weekend in Jozi, but the big question many people were asking was who will be the host of the show? Well it has been announced that Andile Ncube will hold down the hosting duties come the 6th of September.
Ncube is no stranger to the industry. He’s hosted shows like One and Live, as well as the soccer shows Soccerzone and Soccer 411. “I will be guiding both contestants and viewers through all of the ups and downs of this thrilling show. I will be offering contestants support and encouragement along the way – from their first auditions in front of the judges through to the nail-biting live shows. Of course, I will also try and keep the judges in check!”
Hopefully he’ll bring more personality than Mario Lopez. Don’t get me wrong, Lopez is good but he’s good with a rehearsed scripts. I don’t find him very natural. My opinion…

Anyway, so if you want to hang out with Ncube and The X Factor SA team, then here’s your first shot. You can pre-register online at to speed up the audition process. You need to be aged 16 or older.

Auditions will be held in:

Cape Town
