If you’ll pardon the pun, but I’m not particularly ‘over the moon’ about this tour announcement, but many people will be. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a nice dude. His music just doesn’t appeal to me anymore. #NoHate. Big Concerts has announced that James Blunt will be heading back to South Africa next February. His Moon Landing tour drops by Mzansi on the 12th, 14th and 15th of February. The tour kicks off in Cape Town, followed by two gigs at Carnival City. Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 9am.

Blunt’s first album, “Back to Bedlam,” catapulted him to worldwide superstardom on the strength of massive songs such as “You’re Beautiful,” “High” and “Goodbye My Lover.” Add on two more albums, three world tours, four number one singles, five Grammy nods (plus two BRIT awards, two Ivor Novellos and a host of MTV awards), a six piece band and seven whole years on the road, James Blunt has proven his musical success is here to stay.
Moon Landing is the fourth album by James Blunt. The album is the follow up to 2010’s “Some Kind of Trouble” and is Blunt’s first new material in three years. Blunt commented: ‘its about getting back to basics and rediscovering the power of music to communicate emotion directly and honestly, without too much polish or complication’. The result is a collection of songs that are raw, direct and emotionally honest. The album features production from the likes of Steve Mac, Guy Chambers and Steve Robson and was executively produced by Tom Rothrock, who worked with Blunt on 2005’s “Back to Bedlam”. His latest singles “Bonfire Heart” and “Postcards” are climbing the international and local charts proving to be another two big hits.
Fans will be treated to an evening of all his songs live in an intimate setting. Don’t miss getting tickets before they sell out.
