Last year I was one of the ‘lucky’ souls who worked right through. I had Christmas and New Years off, but besides that there was work to be done. I thought it be best because I was training for 70.3 Half Iron Man in East London. The less I was distracted, the better it would be. It’s a quiet time of the year and lets be honest, hardly anyone is online. So I decided to make the most of it, and I opted to watch a show I’d procrastinated on for a long time. That show? The Walking Dead.
I’m not a zombie fan at all, but having met and interviewed Danai Gurira twice, and not much else to watch on TV, I gave in and started watching. In ten days, I’d completed all four seasons and caught up on season five. It really is that good! I loved it, but you know what I loved more? The fact that I could watch all the episodes in my time – no ads, no interruptions, just my schedule. Box sets are the future and I’m big on watching this way.
So that’s why I have a soft spot for ShowMax. The video on demand service has all the seasons of shows I’ve wanted to watch for ages, but just haven’t had the time or chance to. It clearly works for me and because I’ll be housesitting for family members, who had a fast and uncapped line, I’ll be able to watch what I want and when I want to. ON the agenda:
Finish off Suits
The Late Late Show with James Corden
I’ve also been told to watch Jeckyll And Hyde. Anyone seen that?
A few of you might be asking how the service works:
- Go to showmax.com
- Sign up (first seven days are free, but you’ll need to put your credit cards details in). If you aren’t happy with the service you can cancel after the trial period and you’ll either be refunded or you won’t be charged.
- If you do decide to keep the service going, it’ll cost you R99 a month. R99!!! For over 12 000 hours of content. Value for money
- Browse through the catalogue and hit play. It’s really that easy. Even Anele loves it:
The ShowMax team are also introducing a voucher offering too, and because it’s the season to be jolly, festive and the season of giving, why not give your loved ones the gift of content aka ShowMax this season. Look out for those in Pick’n’Pay, Checkers or visit www.showmax.com for more.
