I love Jennifer Hudson… What a voice, what a song… What a star. Have a listen and watch her latest video, Remember Me below:
She’s back ladies and gents. Pop superstar Katy Perry dropped her new single, Chained To The Rhythm just under two weeks ago, and man is it good. Sporting a new, blonder look, Perry doesn’t veer too off course when it comes to her colourful, playful and pop-infused look in the music video. She’s back to the future, and seemingly crushing hard on Skip Marley too 😉 Check it out:
I’ve been a fan of Jesse Clegg for some time now. His honest, raw but real talent is undeniable and he’s a really great dude too. There’s more to his music than what meets the eye and he takes this craft, this talent of his really seriously. So he’s always on my radar… As is former Idols star Shekhinah.
Last year Shekhinah took us Back To The Beach with fellow Idols friend, Kyle Deutsch. It became one of the biggest songs of the year, and I reckon it’s going to win big at this year’s SAMAs (this weekend in fact). And because the SAMAs will be taking place in Durban, how fitting would it be if Shekhinah and Kyle open or at the very least, perform the hit song at the awards?
I digress, though… So what happens when you team Jesse Clegg up with Shekhinah? You get this – a song called Breathing. Exquisite sums it up pretty well for me. How do you feel about the song?
Looking for a cool tune to listen to and watch? Well here’s my jam at the moment. It’s by Prince Royce and it features the gorgeous J.Lo and then Pitbull. Check it out:
I first saw it on American Idol and I’ve been hooked ever since. What a cool track!
Actress, singer, businesswoman and soon-to-be mommy, Gail Mabalane dropped by the Cliff Central studios this week for an interview on my and Jennifer Su’s show, The Buzz (11-12pm on Tuesdays). The star has just launched her new, proudly South African body range called Body Lotion. She is one of the most professional, but warm and wonderful people I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing on the show and she has done so well for herself in the four years since she entered Idols. Check out this short clip where Gail talks about Body Language and she opens up about her love for her hubby, Kabelo:

The queen of this season of The Voice aka Gwen Stefani has just dropped a new single. It’s called Baby Don’t Lie and you can listen to it below:
LOVE the single. Gwen, we thank you for the new music… Bring more. Follow her on the social networks:
Kim Kardashian West rose to the occasion and took on the ALS ice bucket challenge live on the Ellen DeGeneres show this week. Naturally the star squealed through it, but the phone was on hand as she snapped selfies of the experience. Good sport, well done Kimmy!
Fact! Friends was, is and will always be my ultimate show. The show made Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer all household names and made them some of the most famous Friends on television. The show made me fall in love with New York City and the idea of one day having a chance to visit and potentially live there. It always brings a smile to my face, no matter where or which episode and it’s just one of the best things to ever happen to the TV market. Nothing has quite matched up in my opinion.
So it’s twenty years on since the show first hit our screens and while there have been countless rumours of the stars reuniting for a movie etc to commemorate the occasion, it doesn’t seem to be the case. Maybe all involved just know when to call it quits? There was a reunion of sorts on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show this week, which saw the girls reading a script by Kimmel… and how his (Ross) lovemaking skills. Jen looks far from thrilled, but you know they’re all good sports. Watch this and reminisce:
I’m off to New York in just over three weeks – don’t hate. One of the things I am certainly going to do is visit the pop-up Central Perk coffee bar. Warner Bros. Television Group, Warner Bros. Consumer Products together with Eight O’Clock Coffee will be bringing this pop-up store to the streets of New York starting on the 17th of September – the day after I arrive!!!! STOKED, does not even begin to explain how excited and happy I am. #AsYouWere
The Script are back and ready to show off their hard work that comes in the form of a brand new album called No Sound Without Silence. This is their fourth album and you can get your hands on a copy on the 15th of September.
The first single off that album is called Superheroes. The video was shot on location in the township of Alexandra in Johannesburg, South Africa. Check it out below:

The good folks at Ford South Africa offered me the opportunity to test drive the latest Ford Kuga for a week. I took delivery on Monday and let me tell you this car is but awesome. I’m not going to even attempt to be all technical and car junky like, because you’ll know straight away that I have no clue. What I can tell and share with you is my experience of driving the car; what some of my observations are from a lifestyle and simple member of the public perspective. I’m also interested to see what other people say, especially since so many people have turned their heads or “oohed and aahed” when I’ve show them my temporary new best friend 😉
Yesterday after my show, I met a chap by the name of Michael at the Cliffcentral.com headquarters. He is the proud owner of a Ford already, but because he’s getting ready to finish off his management studies, he’s looking at an upgrade and the Ford Kuga might just be what he’s after. I shot a short clip of him getting into the car and you can see his reaction below:
One quick observation and the thing I love about the new Fords is that they have the SYNC functionality. It’s very effective, smart and sets them apart from their competitors. I’m just battling to sort mine out in the Kuga. So if there are any experts out there, who are willing to assist, holler! More on my driving experience to follow in the week.
