Beyoncé wants to know #WHATISPRETTY

Beyoncé wants to know from you #WHATISPRETTY? The star’s latest single from her number one-selling album is titled Pretty Hurts and in celebration of that release, the star is asking you to share your idea of what pretty is. Is it holding hands with your loved one as you stroll across the beach? Is it the look of your toddler in the morning when he or she comes to wake you up? Maybe it’s your 86-year old grandmother, who you love and adore or a letter you got from your best friend, who lives in a different city. Basically it’s a non-conventional, alternative definition to what we’re used to. Get involved by uploading your picture and using the hashtag #WHATISPRETTY. It could be featured on the site, alongside millions of other pretty pics.

I’ve just watched the video (for about the 100th time… this month ;)). There’s one visual that I grabbed from the video of the pretty Beyoncé.

Beyonce Pretty Hurts

Easily one of the most beautiful women in the world! Watch the full video below:

Beyonce and Jay-Z are Drunk In Love at the Grammys

Love me some Beyonce Knowles… and Jigga too! This woman is incredible. Beautiful, sexy, talented for years and the epitome of what a superstar should be. Love it!

BEYONCÉ – the visual album is out

Bey1-300x225

Who’s the boss of this mother? It’s Queen Bey… I honestly feel like her, Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake are on another level. They are the epitome of what it means to lead and not follow. They do things on their own terms and continue to innovate, create and be unique and that is why they are arguably the biggest and the best in the game. Just take Beyoncé and her antiques today for example. There has been a lot of speculation about when she will release new material. There have been singles here and there but nothing official has been announced. While most artists do a lot of pre-album promotion, Beyoncé just went ahead and dropped her new album today. It’s an audio-visual spectacle that portrays and depicts the space she found herself in creatively, while making this album. Some might see this as arrogant, but I think she is a genius. Her legions of fans idolise her and she knows she has a winner with this one. BIG UP!

WOW!!!! That is all I can say. There aren’t many people who can just go and drop a new album with promotion and still manage to cause a stir on social media and in the media, but that Ms Beyoncé Knowles- Carter did.

14 songs, 17 videos… All for the price of $15.99 on iTunes… and you know this album is going to Fllllllllyyyy off the shelves and hit the top of the charts. It’s also extremely smart of her to do ahead of the holiday season. Incredible. By the way, iTunes temporarily crashed thanks to Mrs Carter’s surprise 😉 You’ll hear Drake, Jay, Frank Ocean and the cutest little contribution from Blue Ivy. There’s also an awesome track that Beyoncé does with Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche too. Here’s the official track listing:

Beyoncé is a trooper

Why is Beyoncé the most professional and ultimate performer? She keeps her cool even in the most bizarre circumstances. The star is currently on her Mrs Carter World (sans Africa) Tour. At the weekend Mrs Carter performed in São Paulo, Brazil and it was there that the star was faced with an interesting to say the least, and eager fan. While performing her smash hit, Irreplaceable, Bey appears to have been pulled off the stage by the fan. In security team jumped to her rescue, but Bey didn’t seem to phased by the incident, carrying on with the song.

Once done with the track she went back to that area of the stage and said to the fan, “It’s alright, it’s alright. Nice to meet you. Thank you, I love you, too.” What a legend! This isn’t the first incident Queen Bey has had to endure on tour. Earlier this year, while singing the song Halo… Her blonde locks got caught in one of the stage fans. While her teamed scrambled to help release her, Beyonce ever the profession carried on singing the song:

More Beyoncé on stage moments:

So if any artist ever considers leaving the stage for a lack of crowd support, rain, hair in fans or the like… Remember what Beyoncé did and ask yourself the question, am I really serious about life 😉

Beyonce’s hair gets caught in a fan

Who is the ultimate music performer in your eyes? In my opinion, it’s Mrs. Carter aka Beyonce Knowles… She’s incredible. Just look at what she has done, achieved and managed to pull off in her career. Well if you weren’t convinced up to my previous sentence, you really should be after this next one. We’ve got to give her props for this one now. The star recently got ‘acquainted’ with one of the concert fans – and no, I’m not talking about the human versions. You can see how it all goes down in the clip above and in true Beyonce style, the star kept calm, kept singing while her team scrambled to help her out! Beyonce #TheUltimate!

Beyoncé wants you to ‘Bow Down bitches’

Beyoncé’s new track has arrived. It’s called Bow Down/ I Been On. It’s completely, extremely and very, very different to what you would expect from arguably the biggest star in the game. It’ll take some time to get into because the voice you’re expecting is only there for about forty seconds. The rest of the track has her voice heavily manipulated and full of effects (the kind of ish you’d expect from Will.i.am). I can’t imagine this is the first single though. Surely?

Maybe it’s an intro to the new album yes, but not a single that everyone’s expecting. And just when we’re all like, wtf B, she’ll drop the track we’re hoping for… Am I asking for too much? Your thoughts?
