News flash: Mandla wins Big Brother Mzansi

We have a new millionaire in South Africa and his name is Mandla. The shirtless, pantless Big Brother Mzansi Housemate was announced as the winner of the show during tonight’s live finale. Well done to what many are calling, the most “humble” and deserving housemate in the game!

Big Brother Mzansi Secrets:

Audience Favourite Mandla wins R 1 Million!

Tonight (Sunday, 6 April) South African television audiences voted spaza shop owner Mandla Hlatshwayo the winner of  the R 1 million grand prize as the 63 day reality super series BIG BROTHER MZANSI SECRETS drew to a stunning close with a highly emotional two hour Finale that began at 18:00, exclusive to Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161). Capping off a memorable season of high stakes live 24/7 entertainment, Biggie went all out to ensure that when the curtain came down, it did so sensationally!

Having started on Sunday, 2 February with 18 participants, at the end 6 Housemates remained in the game, all of whom had no idea the game was about to come to a thrilling end. But for Iris, Kat, Loko, Mandla, MK and Sol, today was destined to be a day like no other.

Hanging out with #BBMzansi’s Mzamo and Thando

Mzamo and Thando became the latest Housemates to leave the Big Brother Mzansi house on Sunday. I’ve been away for a week, so I have no idea what went down. You can catch me up in the comment box below if you like 😉

From 2pm today, I’ll be chairing a Google+ Hangout with the two former housemates. If you have any questions, holler. Alternatively, check back in here later for links to the videos!

Jase leaves Big Brother Mzansi

Goodbye to Big Brother Mzansi housemate, Jase. Here’s the full press release:

He laughed, he cried, he won immunity and Head of House once each, he changed his hairstyle a lot, he exercised more, he even danced, but after 42 days, it was time for Durbanite Jase to exit the BIG BROTHER MZANSI SECRETS house having received the fewest viewer votes this week. Audiences watching the live Sunday Show tonight (16 March) on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161) bid farewell to the 21-year-old university student, as he made his departure from the reality show. He left behind his rival in romance Sol who, along with Lexi, were also nominated this week.

#BBMzansi – goodbye Vanessa

Vanessa is the first housemate to be voted out of the Big Brother Mzansi house. She lost out to MK earlier. There were tears, but whilst speaking to Lungile shortly after leaving the house, she said she was okay with being out of the house.

Tomorrow I kick off a series of Google Hangouts with the evicted housemates and obviously the first one will be with Vanessa. So if you have any burning questions for Vanessa, holler…

Lungile Radu talks Big Brother Mzansi

The new season of Big Brother Mzansi is here and the host of the show, Lungile Radu cannot wait for it to get going. It has been twelve years since the local version of the hit reality show has been on air, but now it’s bigger, better and back with a fresh new name, look and feel. The show kicks off on Sunday evening… how many housemates will be vying for that R1million prize we don’t know… It’s a secret, as is the house and so much more. I hope there are some controversial types. I love me some drama 😉

I’m going to be at the launch on Sunday evening… I’m also hoping to be catching up with the housemates just before they head into the house, so let’s see. In the mean time, here’s a little something something from host Lungile Radu:
