The 18th of July is a day we celebrate in South Africa. The reason? It’s former president, Nelson Mandela’s birthday. He will be 92 years old. Now while he spent 67 years fighting for human rights, equality among everyone and making a difference in the world; Madiba and his team have called for us to spare just 67 minutes for those less fortunate than ourselves. You can read newspapers to the elderly or you can go and help nurses and social workers feed a few of our younger members of society. I haven’t decided on what I will be doing on Sunday, but I will share my experience with you when I’m done.
So that is what Sunday will hold for many, but it also sees the launch of the new Big Brother season on DStv. To help kick off the launch of the show, dancehall star, Sean Paul will perform three of his songs. I saw Sean Paul performing in 2007 at the X-Games in Aspen and he was but awesome. So Africa, you’re in for a treat. What a great way to kick off the new, All-Stars season of the hit show. I’m wondering who will be there, vying for the $200 000 prize money? Perhaps Lerato from South Africa? How about the very controversial Tatiana? Let’s see this weekend, when the show gets going.
