Julio Iglesias Postpones South African Tour

Big Concerts this morning confirmed that the Julio Iglesias tour to South Africa (which was originally scheduled for early November 2011) has been postponed until further notice in order to allow Mr. Iglesias time to recover from a serious ear infection that he recently contracted.

Fans who have already purchased tickets for the tour are urged to hold onto their tickets until new dates are announced.  Alternatively; ticketholders are entitled to a full refund from Computicket outlets with immediate effect.

A new itinerary is currently being discussed for 2012 and more news will be circulated to fans once venue availability can be established.

Nicki Minaj going on tour with Britney

Britney Spears- Femme Fatale tourIt’s official: Nicki Minaj is going on tour with Britney Spears. The news about Britney’s Femme Fatale tour was announced in LA yesterday. It was announced the ‘Moment’s For Life’ singer would be joining Britney on the North American leg of the tour. This as Enrique Iglesias pulled out of the tour citing “scheduling issues”, when in actual fact many believe it was his ego that couldn’t handle opening for Britney. Nicki’s a better fit though wouldn’t you say? Here’s the official release:

LOS ANGELES, CA (April 12, 2011) – Pop music trendsetter Britney Spears, who has continually captivated crowds around the world with her live music events, today confirms special guest Nicki Minaj will join the Femme Fatale touring event of the summer.  The all female line-up includes Jessie and the Toy Boys and Nervo on every tour stop.  Spears has prepared an extraordinary show in support of the North American tour that begins on June 16th in Sacramento at the Power Balance Pavilion.   Tickets for select markets go on sale beginning April 30th at Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com.

Enrique Iglesias touches down in SA

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Fresh off the news of his Latin Grammy nominations yesterday, Spanish heartthrob Enrique Iglesias jetted into South Africa yesterday- this time to officially kick off the Champions League T20 cricket tournament. The cricketing action gets going tomorrow, but Iglesias will be performing at the Emmarentia Botanic Gardens, alongside Locnville and DJ Earworm. I’ll be there- hopefully with a camera to catch all the action. If that doesn’t happen, I’ve always got the Nokia X6 to fall back on 🙂 So stay tuned!

Here’s another video for y’all:
