She’s one of the most bubbly people on TV. Her infectious presenting style and laughter, coupled with her superstar looks have made Jeannie D
one of the most loved South African celebrities. Now the star is adding another feather to her cap in the form of a fragrance. Jeannie D has launched her signature perfume called Jeannie in a Bottle. She describes the fragrance as something of a ‘sophisticated’ nature, which sums her up just perfectly.
“This is an absolute dream come true for me. I just love the jasmine-floral profile of this fragrance and have no doubt that others will absolutely adore it too”,
The fragrance was developed by Luzi Switzerland and is packaged by Creighton Products in Durban. She together with her partners at Forma Cosmetics sifted through over 50 combinations before settling on sophisticated floral and spicy-woody middle notes. There’s also a little bit of amber, musk, tonka bean and vanilla. If you’re interested in purchasing the fragrance you can buy it at www.forma-cosmetics.com from R329.99. It will also be available at Clicks stores on the 1st of December 2013, just in time for Christmas 😉
Hopefully when Jeannie and Janez are finished shooting this season of Top Travel, she’ll be available for an interview with me to discuss this more. I’ll keep you posted on that front, but for now a big congratulations must go out to Jeannie!!
Congratulations to Top Billing presenter and entrepreneur Janez Vermeiren who confirmed to You Magazine that he is engaged.
According to Channel 24, the star, who has been dating Brazilian model Juliana Vasconcelos for a while now, popped the question on Christmas Day. “I popped the question while we were hiking on Table Mountain. We both cried like babies!”
So Top Billing is known to show the weddings of the rich and the famous… This year at least four of those weddings are bound to be from their own stable. Janez joins Jeannie, Jo-Ann and Dhiveja in gearing up to say their “I-Do’s”. All four of them are awesome, talented and their respective partners are a lucky bunch. Good luck to them all!
The now annual Feather Awards are back for a second year. The awards were started last by Quad Republic’s Thami Kotlolo. He says who says it was his way of celebrating the ‘fabulous’ individuals who inspired the gay community. “We were completely overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and goodwill we received when we introduced these awards last year. It was just an idea that we decided we were going to push through nomakanjani, and much to our surprise, we got support from corporate sponsor Chevrolet, who came to the party in a big way! Equally importantly, the overwhelming majority of the personalities we approached – whether as guests or nominees – embraced the concept and made the event the massive success it was. We can’t wait to see what the second edition’s going to bring!”
The awards take place on the 10th of November and these are the personalities who have been nominated:

In South Africa, 5FM DJ Gareth Cliff will expand on his ’empire’ by adding a television talk show to this resume tonight. The new show called The Gareth Cliff show kicks off tonight on M-Net at 8pm. I went to the recording of the show on Monday and I like. I dig Gareth, cool dude… very intelligent and sharp and I think those are the attributes one needs to pull off a successful TV show. Here are a few of those highlights for you:
Today also sees the launch of SA’s Got Talent. The show airs next week and will be presented by another 5FM jock, Anele and comedian Rob van Vuuren. That should be entertaining… let’s see. I’ll have those video highlights up later. Another interesting show kicking off soon on SA TV is Top Travel, the travel spin-off of Top Billing. The lovely Jeannie and her colleague Janez jetted off on a 26week tour of the globe. How horrible is that? Damn. Heading off to that launch later tonight and again I’ll grab all the info I can 🙂
Then of course there’s The States… and fall TV. Gossip Girl, Desperate Housewives, Greys, House, yoh there’s too many. Anyone in that part of the world, holler and share with us!
