DJ, Black Coffee has decided to step down as one of the Miss South African judges, citing one of the semifinalists as one of his distant family members as the reason. He doesn’t know the young lady, but because of the connection he’d prefer to avoid any perceptions around her progress in the competition. Fair enough I guess. What do you think? Who should replace him? Drop a comment below.

BLACK COFFEE STEPS DOWN AS A MISS SOUTH AFRICA JUDGE
January 30, 2014: Miss South Africa judge Black Coffee has recused himself as a judge from the 2014 adjudication panel with immediate effect.
Speaking from abroad Black Coffee said: “I have recused myself from the judging process for Miss South Africa 2014 because it has emerged, to my surprise, that I am actually related by marriage to Top 33 semifinalist Tidimalo Sehlako. Miss Sehlako is the half-sister of my wife Mbali Mlotshwa and, although she and her half-sister have only ever met twice in person, I had never met her, and notwithstanding that we have no relations of any kind with her, I do not wish any perception arising to distract from the pageant.” Continue reading “Black Coffee steps down as Miss SA judge”
