Local fans just can’t get enough of the first lady of hip-hop

Due to unprecedented public demand for Nicki Minaj tickets, the promoters of the American rap sensation’s upcoming South African tour have announced an extra Johannesburg date.

Minaj’s Pinkprint Tour will now invade Johannesburg’s Ticketpro Dome on 17 and 18 March 2016, with Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium hosting the flamboyant Anaconda hitmaker on 20 March 2016 and Cape Town’s Grand West Arena wrapping up the tour in style on 22 March 2016.

Tickets for the new and existing concert dates are currently on sale at www.ticketpros.co.za and Edgars stores.

Grammy-nominated superstar Nicki Minaj is touring in support of her critically acclaimed third album, The Pinkprint, which topped the Billboard 200 and Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. In what has been described internationally as an “epic” concert experience, complete with a series of jaw-dropping outfits, she will be performing a selection of hits from her three albums, and South Africans can look forward to a spectacular show that pulls out all the stops.

Johannesburg: American pop & hip hop sensation Nicki Minaj, is bringing the famous Pinkprint Tour to her South African fans, with three unforgettable shows in Johannesburg at the Ticketpro Dome on Thursday 17 March, Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium on Sunday 20 March and Cape Town’s Grand Arena, Grand West on Tuesday 22 March.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Thursday 28 January from ticketpro.co.za and selected Edgars retail stores nationally. The big announcement of her SA tour was made simultaneously by both 5FM and Metro FM this morning on the stations’ respective breakfast shows by The Fresh @5 and The First Avenue teams.

Grammy Award-nominated superstar, Nicki Minaj, continues to break records and impact pop culture at large. Her critically lauded third full-length album, The Pinkprint arrived at the top of the Billboard 200 and Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, cementing her as raps’ reigning queen.

Nicki Minaj to headline TribeOne Dinokeng Festival

US rapper and actress Nicki Minaj is set to headline to the TribeOne Dinokeng Festival in South Africa this September. The festival is being dubbed the biggest music event the continent has ever experienced. It’ll take place in the city of Tshwane from 26-28th of September. Nicki isn’t the only artist on the bill (obvious statement much?). She’ll be joined by some 150 artists from around the continent and the world, including Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, J Cole, Kid Ink, Keko, AKA, Xtatic, Khuli Chana, Naava Grey, Kwesta, Liquideep, Fally Ipupa, Redsan, Takeifa, Souadou, Ousmane, Ba’ponga  among many others.

Nicki seems to be all kinds of excited about (finally) coming to Mzansi and performing on the 28th:
