Love it! Barack Obama, his wife Michelle and their two daughters will be occupying the White House for another four years! America voted and they want him back. LOVE IT. Congrats President Obama … and America.
Today my favourites nation, besides SA of course, goes to the polls to vote in the Presidential Elections. Will President Barack Obama be voted into the Oval Office once again? I wont even entertain the idea of an alternative here 😉 Do the right thing America, vote Obama! Oh and VOTE!! Check out the lovely Beyoncé’s letter to the president above.
So Mark Esterhuysen was obviously really tired and really, really over life and feeling extremely angry. That lead him to his F-bomb rampage in the early hours of yesterday morning. While many will try and analyse everything he was f-bombing and why he felt the need to do that, I’m taking a different angle with the F-Bomb report: Ron Burgundy vs Mark Esterhuysen… Who did it better? NEW YORK-The following is a statement by Wyclef Jean on today’s
magnitude 7.0 earthquake outside Port-au-Prince, Haiti:
“Haiti today faced a natural disaster of unprecedented proportion, an
earthquake unlike anything the country has ever experienced.
The magnitude 7.0 earthquake – and several very strong aftershocks –
struck only 10 miles from Port-au-Prince.
I cannot stress enough what a human disaster this is, and idle hands
will only make this tragedy worse. The over 2 million people in
Port-au-Prince tonight face catastrophe alone. We must act now.
President Obama has already said that the U.S. stands ‘ready to assist’
the Haitian people. The U.S. Military is the only group trained and
prepared to offer that assistance immediately. They must do so as soon
as possible. The international community must also rise to the occasion
and help the Haitian people in every way possible.”
Many people have already reached out to see what they can do right now.
We are asking those interested to please do one of two things: Either
you can use your cell phone to text “Yele” to 501501, which will
automatically donate $5 to the Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund (it will be
charged to your cell phone bill), or you can visit http://www.Yele.org and
click on DONATE.

The film Invictus opens worldwide tomorrow. It tells the story of how former President Nelson Mandela joined forces with Springbok rugby captain Francois Pienaar to help unify a very divided South Africa through the universal language of sport. On Tuesday I got the opportunity to chat to Morgan about this role, the film and what he’s hoping people will take out of the film.
Personally, interviewing him was the highlight of my career and I thoroughly enjoyed speaking to him. He’s wise, humble and so relaxed… which helps. Trust me, walking into that interview my heart skipped a beat (or seven). What I also enjoyed about the interview was the fact that he took time to think about what he was going to say, he wasn’t just churning out a rehearsed answer for the purposes of getting it over with. I listen during my interviews, unlike a lot of people, but in this interview I felt like he was almost testing me to see if I was indeed listening. It was great, really it was. The film is also inspiring and well produced. Well done to Clint Eastwood and to his production team. I’m certain this is going to be a strong contender at next year’s Academy Awards! Check it out in theatres tomorrow!
