Rihanna is once again pushing the boundaries with her new video, Bitch Better Have My Money. #BBHMM dropped online a few hours ago and well, I’m going to let you watch it and come to a conclusion for yourself. I think the video makes up for what is otherwise a pretty weak song for me. My opinion, I still love Riri though!
Rihanna might’ve been banned from Instagram for baring too much flesh, but that hasn’t and wont stop the star from pushing the boundaries whenever or wherever she can. Case in point at last night’s CFDA Fashion Awards. She was wearing a custom-made Adam Selman fishnet dress with over 216,000 Swarovski crystals. The Umbrella hitmaker was honored with the Fashion Icon Award at the ceremony, which saw some of the biggest names in the game attending.
While the others looked aait, it was Rihanna who stole the show… Obviously! It’s getting a lot of mixed reactions though. Some love it, some question the need for her to reveal so much of herself. I think she looks stunning, but I have to wonder how comfortable she actually feels. I mean come on, surely you’d feel somewhat awkward? What do you think?
It has been an incredible year for South African duo, Mafikizolo. Not only did they win big at this year’s SAMAs, they’re also multiple nominees for this year’s MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs), they’re being booked for gigs all over the continent and now they’ve cracked a nomination for this year’s BET Awards!! Big up to them. They were nominated alongside Davido (Nigeria), Sarkodie (Ghana), Tiwa Savage (Nigeria), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania) and Toofan (Togo) in the Best International Act category. I’m pretty sure they’ll be heading over to LA on the 29th of June to be rub shoulders with the music industry’s finest! Big up Africa!
Here are the rest of this year’s BET nominees:
Best International Act: UK
Krept & Konan
One of the only Mondays I will ever look forward to is this next one. Why? Well look at the picture above and how could you blame me? Yes folks, Shakira is back and she has teamed up with Rihanna for a song called “Can’t Remember To Forget You”. The song drops on iTunes on Monday and I’m expecting a good, sexy track. Hopefully it wont disappoint. I’m surprised it hasn’t leaked yet, but hey… If Queen Bey can do it, so can everyone else. Bring. On. Monday!!!
Finally, the video is out. Eminem and Rihanna team up once again for another smash hit. This one is called The Monster and the video has officially been unleashed. Enjoy!
Don’t forget to grab your tickets to Eminem live in South Africa next March. Details here.
One of my favourite tracks off Rihanna‘s Unapologetic album is this one. It’s called What Now and the video is officially here. I got to see her perform this one live in concert last month, when she was here as part of her Diamonds World Tour. The way the crowd sang it with and then back to her was just too awesome. Rihanna is too gorgeous for words, love the video.

The diamond was shining bright last night… Pop princess kicked off her first headline tour to South Africa on Sunday evening. The Pour It Up singer brought her Diamonds World Tour to over 60 000 fans at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
Yes, the traffic was a ball ache, and many complained about her not changing her outfit and about the sound, but I digged it. There is something very awesome about Rihanna and I’m stoked I got to see her. The way the crowd sang her songs back to her was great too! My best moment? The Take A Bow, Love the Way you lie and Cold Case Love melody… Damn, I loved that. She then went into We Found Love after that and you can just imagine how the crowd erupted. I have a little clip of that, but I’ll share that later. For now though, check out some of my pictures from the Diamonds World Tour – the Jozi edition 🙂
