Sasha-Lee back in Cape Town

Idols co-winner Sasha-Lee Davids is back in Cape Town with her family. Times reporter Yazeed Kamaldien spoke to her and her parents about the controversy which has surrounded voting in this year’s competition.

So who will ACTUALLY win Idols?

WOW!!! Nobody could’ve ever predicted this, but it’s happened and at 1PM today M-Net will hold a press conference to determine who really is the winner of Idols 2009. In case you missed it a significant number of legitimate SMS votes were received after the 18:05 cut off time. This means either one of two things… 1. Jason ACTUALLY wins or 2. Sasha-Lee will hold onto her title and might even widen the gap in terms of votes. Sjoe how hectic. Here is the official press release: Continue reading “So who will ACTUALLY win Idols?”

What does Sasha have in store for us?

A short video I put together for y’all and the video below is the song that sold me… her song, her very first single called “True Believer”. Have you got a copy yet?

Atlantis resident, Sasha-Lee Davids is the new South African Idol. The star beat out her fellow contestant, Jason Hartman to scoop the title. The event was star-studded, hosting the likes of Miss South Africa Tatum Keshwar, SAMA winner Kurt Darren, Elana Afrika and Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty all attended the finale in Johannesburg. Season four winner, Jody Williams performed very well at the show, I must admit… I wish she would do more performances like that! I think with someone like Sasha-Lee fast becoming a big star, Jody is going to have to up her game even more! Interesting times.

I was shocked at how Randall and Gareth belted out the melody. WOW! Continue reading “Sasha-Lee wins”
